Barry Wright, PhD, IMH-E® has been active in the field of infant mental health since 1979. He directed a clinical research project on infant mental health in a community mental health center from 1979-1984. Since then he been in private practice and has provided consultation and reflective supervision for infant mental health programs around the state. He has held Adjust Professor Appointments at MSU College of Medicine, Departments of Psychiatry and Human Development, and Wayne State University. He has published on attachment to premature infants, infant parent psychotherapy, and countertransference working with infants and families. Dr. Wright has served on the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health Board of Directors for many years in the role of secretary.
