This training builds on the November 2024 “Digging Deeper: Decolonizing Reflective Supervision” webinar, which explored historical and structural influences on RSC. Part 2 moves from awareness to action, highlighting practical implications for practice, policy, and systems change. Participants will engage more deeply with the study’s findings and explore how to integrate an anti-racist, equity-informed lens into their work. Whether new or returning, attendees will gain insight into how the IECMH field can evolve to better honor all communities

This introductory training is designed to help professionals build a strong foundation in Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC). The session offers a practical introduction to essential RSC concepts, including cultivating a clear definition of RSC, building trusting relationships through the Pillars of RSC, and applying the 4 Little Words framework. Attendees will learn how to co-create reflective spaces, navigate the complexities of parallel process, and apply best practices to support their work with professionals who provide services in the infant and early childhood mental health (IECMH) field. This training emphasizes consistent, relational, and intentional approaches to reflective practice.

This training offers professionals a practical introduction to identifying and navigating ruptures in the reflective relationship while using repair as a powerful opportunity for growth. Participants will explore essential concepts such as recognizing when relationships feel strained, initiating repair with authenticity and accountability, and maintaining a reflective stance rooted in vulnerability and curiosity.

Designed for providers of Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RSC), this training offers a brave space to deepen reflective practice, nurture curiosity, and build community. Participants will explore the RIOS framework and effective strategies for managing challenges in RSC. Through guided exercises and reflective journaling, attendees will enhance their capacity to create holding environments and support reflective relationships in infant and early childhood mental health.

This workshop invites professionals to dive deep into the complexities of managing both administrative and RSC provider roles when rupture occurs. Through experiential learning, reflective exercises, and real-life scenario role-plays, participants will explore how dual responsibilities—such as balancing accountability with relational attunement—impact the rupture and repair process. The session creates space to practice staying present and reflective when role conflicts arise, experiment with approaches to repair that honor both administrative boundaries and the reflective relationship, and engage in critical self-awareness around power dynamics and transparency. Ideal for supervisors and program leaders with foundational RSC experience.
