Brijan Fellows LCSW-C, PMH-C, IMH-E®
I am a clinical social worker in Maryland with 20 years experiences and expertise in perinatal and infant and early childhood mental health. I am the clinical program director for the Taghi Modarressi Center for Infant Study, Secure Starts Clinic at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the current President of the Infant Mental Health Association of Maryland and DC.
My reflective supervision style is rooted in creating a safe, relational space where supervisees feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore the emotional complexities of their work. I approach supervision as a partnership, emphasizing curiosity, empathy, and respect. I encourage supervisees to slow down, reflect on their experiences, and deepen their awareness of how their personal histories and emotional responses influence their work with families of young children.
Brijan has presented early childhood research and clinical findings at numerous local and statewide conferences. Her work focuses primarily on addressing the unique needs of vulnerable infant populations, including refugees and those affected by trauma and substance use
